Visit to Fountain Square
We briskly cross Fountain Square and pass the extravagant architecture of Nizami Street where out-door chandeliers light the crowds of locals on their nightly passeggiata.
Walk along Baku Seaside Boulevard
Then we stroll a section of the world’s longest urban promenade, learning about the time of its foundation over a century ago when Baku’s oil barons were building their elegant mansions along the Caspian shore.
Passing Baku’s Little Venice, complete with gondolas, we use the Funicular to zip up to Highland Park for breath-taking views across Baku Bay encompassing National Flag Square and Crystal Hall far below while getting an unusual series of close-up views of the legendary Flame towers – a trio of skyscrapers that really do appear to burn thanks to an extraordinary light show.
Visit to Highland Park
Highland Park is the best place to enjoy the picturesque panoramic view of the city and the Baku Bay and the best spot to take a picture with the fascinating Flame Towers.
